Builders and Engineers - Harland and Wolff Ltd. Belfast.[1]

She was built for the Liverpool- New-York route and launched in 1931, sailing her maiden voyage on the 25th June 1932.

She served from 1932-1941 and from 1945-1956. In 1941 she was bombed and sunk in July 1941 and was salvaged by Shipbreaking Industries, resuming services as a troop transporter in 1945.

She was scrapped in 1956.[2]
