1866 Pratchitt and Blaylock of the Denton Iron Works, Carlisle became Pratchitt, Blaylock and Pratchitt when John Pratchitt became managing partner of the firm.

1870 The title of the firm became Pratchitt Brothers when John Blaylock left the partnership.
