Power Securities Corporation
1922 Public company incorporated to assist in the development and engage the finance of electrical and other public utility undertakings; it acquired the whole of the issued share capital of Balfour, Beatty and Co[1]; George Balfour was chairman of the company; Andrew Henry Beatty and William Shearer were joint managing directors.
1930 The Lochaber construction works were expected to be completed in the autumn by their associated company; the Grampian hydro-electric scheme was on schedule [2]
1957 34th annual meeting; the company recognised Balfour, Beatty and Co as its principal income producing subsidiary; other subsidiaries were Tersons Ltd, Stent Precast Concrete Ltd, Metropolitan Construction Co Ltd, Duncan Watson (Electrical Engineers) Ltd, James Kilpatrick and Son Ltd[3].
