PETER BROWN served an apprenticeship of about six years at H.M. Dockyard at Sheerness.
In 1912 he went to the Ordnance College at Woolwich for education and training in small-arms munitions, etc.
He then became engineer in the India Ordnance Department and went to Bengal.
He resigned this position in 1919, and joined the firm of Messrs. Venesta (Tea Lead Rolling Mills) at Kamarhati, India, for whom he was appointed acting manager in 1920 and works manager in 1921.
Mr. Brown, who died on 19th August 1929, became an Associate Member of the Institution in 1919 and was transferred to Membership in 1928.
