1860 Perkins, Critchley and Marmont, of Frogmarch Mills. 'a very complete machine for the manufacture of pins from the wire, the cutting, pointing, and heading, being all done by the same machine'[1]

1897 Partnership dissolved. '...the Partnership heretofore, subsisting between us the undersigned Alfred Perkins, Joseph Blackmore Marmont, Edward Payson Perkins and Arthur Charles Marmont carrying on business as Pin Manufacturers at Frogmarsh Mills Woodchester in the county of Gloucester under the style or firm of Perkins and Marmont has been dissolved by mutual consent as and from the first day of January 1897. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said Edward Payson Perkins and Arthur Charles Marmont who will continue to carry on the business under the style of Perkins and Marmont....'[2]

1914 Death. Mr. Joseph Blackmore Marmont, of Sydney House, Crouch Hill, London, N., who was for many years partner in the firm of Messrs. Perkins, Critchley, Marmont, and Co., pin manufacturers, of Frogmarsh Mills. Woodchester, and retained an interest. (mentions his son Basil Philip Marmont).[3]

1917 Edward Payson Perkins, pin manufacturer, of Woodchester.[4]

1932 Company in liquidation.[5]

1939 'Mr. Watson Benjamin Marmont has died at his home. The Firs, Theescombe, Amberley, near Stroud, in his 81st year. For many years Mr. Marmont was associated with the firm of Perkins and Marmont, Ltd., pin manufacturers, of Woodchester Hill. His father was one of the founders of the firm. Mr. Watson Marmont retired from business about 25 years ago. Born at Nailsworth, he spent all his life in the district. His wife died three years ago.'[6]
