Percy Martin (1871–1958) of Daimler

1871 June 19th. Born in Columbus, Ohio, USA, the son of John Henry Martin and his wife Amanda

1892 Graduated as a mechanical engineer (in electrical engineering) at Ohio State University

1901 October. Appointed works manager of Daimler at Coventry. Remained with the company until he retired in 1934.

1902 July. Married Alice Helen Heublein (d. July 1958) of Hartford, Connecticut, and they had two children - John and Helen.

1911 Living at "The Spring" Kenilworth: Percy Martin (age 39 born United States), Director of Engineering Works - Married. Three servants.[1]

He became a naturalized British citizen.

Chairman of Daimler from January 1934 to October 1935

1958 November 10th. Died, following a heart attack, at The Spring, Kenilworth
