Query whether this title is correct; seems more likely to have been Oswestry, Ellesmere and Whitchurch Railway

The line opened from Whitchurch to Ellesmere for goods in 1863 and throughout for good and passengers the following year.

The following year it merged with the Oswestry and Newtown Railway, the Llanidloes and Newtown Railway and the Newtown and Machynlleth Railway to form Cambrian Railways
