1937 Odeon Theatres Limited became a public company

1939 J. Arthur Rank joined the board of Odeon Theatres Ltd[1]

1947 the new name J. Arthur Rank Organisation was used to describe the organisation which included Odeon Theatres Ltd, Gaumont British Picture Corporation and many subsidiary and associated companies[2]

1955 Company name changed from Odeon Theatre Limited to Rank Organisation Ltd[3] which included Odeon Associated Theatres Ltd and Odeon Properties Ltd
