The Nottingham and Grantham Railway and Canal Co was a 23 mile railway line originally leased to or worked by the Great Northern Railway (GNR).

1860 the name of the Ambergate, Nottingham and Boston, and Eastern Junction Railway was changed to the Nottingham and Grantham Railway and Canal Co

1861 The properties of this company were leased to the Great Northern Railway. [1]

1923 it became part of the London and North Eastern Railway.
