1962 Nitrovit Ltd was incorporated to acquire part of Ferens Brothers Ltd

1964 Acquired Buxted Chicken[2]. Then acquired 17 companies concerned with rearing of broiler chickens. Name changed to Allied Farm Foods.

1968 The name of Ferens Brothers was changed to Nitrovit Ltd[3]

1968 Associated British Foods bought Allied Farm Foods[4], the Buxted/Nitrovit Group[5]

1970 Imperial Group acquired Allied Farm Foods including Nitrovit Feed, Ross Breeding and Processing.[6]

1977 Part of Imperial Foods

1982 Acquired by Hillsdown Holdings

1988 The Nitrovit feed mills were acquired by J. Bibby and Sons, adding to that company's agricultural products division.
