Neilson, Reid and Company of Hyde Park Locomotive Works, Glasgow was a locomotive manufacturer.

1898 The name of Neilson and Co was changed to Neilson, Reid and Company

1900 An estimated 5,394 locomotives had been built including the predecessor company. The business employed 3,500 men and produced 300 locomotives per annum

1903 North British Locomotive Co was registered as a public company on 12 February, to acquire the business of engineers and locomotive builders of Neilson, Reid and Co, Dubs and Co and Sharp, Stewart and Co all of Glasgow. [1]
