1877 Alexander Shanks, Robert Twentyman Napier, Henry M. Napier and David Bell set up a shipbuilding works at Yoker, Napier, Shanks and Bell[1]

1889 See 1889 Shipbuilding Statistics for detail of the tonnage produced

1898 The new company of Napier and Miller took over the yard next door which had previously been owned by Napier, Shanks and Bell.
