American manufacturer of cookies and snacks. Founded in 1890.[1]

1988 Kohlberg Kravis Roberts acquired Nabisco which owned British brands Huntley and Palmers, Jacob's Biscuits, Shreddies, Smiths Crisps and Snack Products, Walkers Crisps Snack Products, Hovis Crackers, amongst others [2]

1989 KKR disposed of a number of biscuit brands including Huntley and Palmers, Ritz Crackers and Jacob's cream crackers[3]
