Mintex Division of Cleckheaton, Yorkshire.

1937 Mintex Brake and Clutch Liners were manufactured by British Belting and Asbestos.

1970 BBA had 20 subsidiaries in 8 countries; the largest was Mintex which was one of Britain's largest makers of friction materials, supplying brake and clutch linings[1]

1985 BBA acquired Cape's automotive division, with a view to rationalising their part of the British friction materials industry and hopefully return it to profit. This brought together Mintex and Don International as Mintex Don[2]
