1925 They applied for the winding up of the British Anzani Engine Co. '...presented to the said Court by the Midland Motor Cylinder Company Limited, whose registered office is situate at Dartmouth-road Foundries, Smethwick...'[2]

1936 Birmid Industries founded; incorporated Birmingham Aluminium Castings Co and Midland Motor Cylinder Co and other companies[3].
