The footpath from Oxford to Bisney crosses the Thames by the Medley Footbridge. The bridge connects the west bank of the River Thames to Fiddler's Island in the stream. The footpath continues to Oxford city, crossing the Bailey Bridge, Port Meadow (Oxford).

The bridge was erected by public subscription in 1865. It is of wrought iron lattice construction, made by the Reading Ironworks Co. Designed by John Pinchbeck.

See Geograph entry for map.

Medley footbridge is also known as Rainbow Bridge, although the is another Rainbow Bridge (formally High Bridge) over the River Cherwell in the University Parks, Oxford, made of concrete with metal railings, constructed in 1923–4.
