1849 Formation of the partnership.

1862 On the death of Mr. Walker, the firm became Consulting Engineers for the Harbours of Dover and Alderney, Plymouth Breakwater Fort, the Surrey Commercial Docks, and other works.[1]

On the retirement of Mr. Burges the business of Walker, Burges and Cooper was taken over by Messrs. McClean and Stileman[2]
