McAlpine-Sea Tank

1973 Consortium formed of R. McAlpine and Sons and Sea Tank.
1974 Designed Shell/Esso's first concrete production platform. at a cost of £24million.[1]
Between 1974 and 1978 only three platforms were made at the Ardyne Point yard. Two were based in Scotland and one was transported to Norway.
The Brent C platform weighed about 357,000 tonnes. 3,000 tonnes of decking to receive the modules and 13,000 tonnes of reinforced steel. Workforce of about 400 people needed full time to construction the platform.
Constructed with four towers with a capacity of 650,000 barrells.[2]
