We note with regret the death of Mr. M. G. Tweedie, which occurred on August 21st. Mr. Tweedie, who was sixty-two years of age, was honorary secretary of the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers from 1921 till 1942. He retired from the signal department of the Great Western Railway in 1939.
