1891 Company founded. The Manchester Ship Canal Pontoons and Dry Docks Co was registered on 14 October to construct dry docks, ship and engine repairing works.

1906 The name was changed to the present title. [1]

1924 Public company.

1961 Dry dock proprietors and ship repairers, marine and general engineers serving all shipping using Manchester shipping canal. 800 employees. [2]
