Whisky distillers, Glen Mhor Distillery, Inverness

1892 The Leith whisky blender, Charles Mackinlay and Company, developed a new distillery in partnership with James Birnie, formerly manager at the neighbouring Glen Albyn Distillery

1906 Mackinlays and Birnie Limited was incorporated

1920 The Glen Albyn Distillery was taken over

1972 The business was taken over by the Distillers Co

1983 In a depressed whisky market both distilleries were closed and subsequently demolished
