LUDVIG ZETHELIUS died in June 1907 at Wiesbaden, where he had gone for the benefit of his health. He was born at Sura, in the Swedish province of Vasteras, on July 24, 1855, and studied at the Stockholm School of Mines.
During the years 1879 and 1880 he made educational journeys to North America and Great Britain, in 1887 he visited Austria, in 1892 Westphalia, in 1895 Bohemia, and in 1899 Hungary. He thus acquired an excellent knowledge of metallurgical practice in various parts of the world.
In 1880 he was appointed metallurgical engineer at the Domnarfvet Ironworks, and had since acted as consulting engineer to the company.
He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1904.
