London Buses Limited

1985 London Transport set up a subsidiary known as London Buses Limited (LBL) to run its bus services.

In preparation for privatisation, London Buses Limited was divided the company into 13 geographical subsidiary companies.

In 1992 the government announced that the subsidiaries would be sold to the private sector

By 1994 the privatisation of LBL was complete.
