Lister Electric Light and Power Manufacturing Co or Lister Electric Manufacturing Co[1] - supplied Dursley with electricity

1870 Following the death of George Lister, The Rivers Mill business was continued by William James Lister, continued to operate the Rivers Mill business

He was succeeded by his sons, James Fraser Lister and George Lister. They broadened the product range.

1894 The brothers established the Lister Electric Light and Power Manufacturing Co at their factory at Rivers Mill. This brought electric power to the town of Dursley for the first time.

1903 After the death of William, the company was taken over by R. A. Lister and Co, in which James Fraser Lister was engaged. See The Lister Electrical Machinery Co.[2]

1907 The company and factory was taken over by John Herbert St. Hill Mawdsley forming Mawdsleys.
