1898 William Barbour and Sons merged with other thread manufacturers to create Linen Thread Co.

1898 The company was registered on 29 April, to acquire interests in and to carry on the businesses of manufacturers of linen and other threads, nets, twines and flax. [1]

1961 The company changed its name to Lindustries[2].

By 1970 Barbour Threads was part of Lindustries[3]
