Born the son of Lewis Emmanuel Luke Thomas Ryder Durant, a Merchant.

1911 Living at 65a Rosendale Road, West Dulwich: Lewis Arthur Durant (age 33 born Dulwich), Motor Engineer and Sidecar Manufacturer. With his wife Winifred Durant (age 33 born Chatham).[1]

1939 Living at Rambler Cottage, Farnham, Handyman Labourer Light Work. With Agnes W. Durant (born 1875).[2]
