1974 Acquired by independent oil company Berry Wiggins[3]
Berry Wiggins was renamed KCA International
1981 After financial problems, KCA International decided to float 25 percent of its drilling subsidiary KCA Drilling[4]
1983 Management buy out of the remaining 75 percent of the equity[5]
1986 Owned 2 drilling ships and 10 onshore rigs[6]
Acquired by Outline and then by Norwegian group Blystad
1995 Abbot Group reversed into Unigroup in order to obtain a quotation for its KCA Drilling subsidiary[7]
