K. M. T. (Holdings) Ltd, cutting tool maker and distributor, and specialised steel stockholder

1960 Owned several companies including Monks and Crane Ltd, Qualcut Tools Ltd, Broadway Aircraft Engineering Co[1].

1965 ICFC offered for sale shares in K. M. T. (Holdings) Ltd[2].

1967 Group also included Triangle Products Ltd, Herringshaw Steels Ltd and Martin-Thomas Ltd[3].

1968 After an attempted take-over by Glynwed, called off by mutual consent, KMT was acquired by Thorn Electrical Industries[4].

1983 Monks and Crane Ltd, of Stafford, was sold to its management[5].
