Joseph John Hind (1873-1937)


1937/38 Obituary [1]

Joseph John Hind was born in 1873 and received his engineering education at Doncaster Technical School. He was apprenticed with Stones Bros., General Engineers, Thorne, and this was followed by four years' varied experience in marine and general engineering.

In 1896 he commenced business on his own account as an automobile engineer and in 1916 he became Managing Director of Auto-Components, Ltd., Thorne.

He died in December, 1937, at the age of 64.

He was elected an Associate Member in 1922.
