1864 Patent. '1141. And Isaac Jefferson, Joseph Jefferson, Cornelius Jefferson, Lazarus Jefferson, and Mordecai Jefferson, all of Bradford, in the county of York, Engineers and Machinists have given the like notice in respect of the invention of "improvements in railway break apparatus."[1]

1866 Patent. '1052. And Joseph Jefferson, Cornelius Jefferson, Lazarus Jefferson, Mordecai Jefferson, and John Greenway, of the firm of Joseph Jefferson and Company, all of Bradford, in the county of York, Machine Makers and Iron Founders, have given the like notice in respect of the invention of "improvements in machinery for combing wool or other fibrous materials"[2]

1867. Partnership change. '... the Partnership formerly subsisting between the undersigned, Joseph Jefferson, Cornelius Jefferson, Lazarus Jefferson, Mordecai Jefferson, and John Greenway, as Wool Comb Machine Makers and Ironfounders, under the firm of Joseph Jefferson and Co., at Brownroyd Works, Thornton-road, Bradford, in the county of York, has been dissolved by mutual consent, so far as regards the said John Greenway only. All debts due to and owing by the said late partnership will be received and paid by the said Joseph Jefferson, Cornelius Jefferson, Lazarus Jefferson, and Mordecai Jefferson, by whom the before mentioned business will in future be carried on under the firm of Joseph Jefferson and Co...'[3]
