1839 ' On Friday week, an enormous boiler attracted the attention of many whilst being conveyed from the foundry of Messrs. Edwards and Co., of Hanley, to Lord Talbot's collieries, at Brereton. It was 25 feet long, 10½ wide, and high.'[1]

Note: It is assumed that the Edwards referred to is Joseph - yet to be confirmed.
