1906 April 6th. Born the son of Matthew Walwyn Walker

1911 Living at 226 New Uttoxeter Road, Derby: Matthew Walker (age 40 born Anslow, Staffordshire), Fruit Preserver and Employer. With his wife Rate Walker (age 38 born Langley, Derbyshire), and their son John Walker (age 4 born Derby). One servant.[1]
