John Neilson Batcheler (1901-1927)


1927/28 Obituary [1]

John Neilson Batcheler was born in 1901 and was apprenticed at the Works of Thornycroft, Basingstoke.

On completion of his apprenticeship, he went to Cairo as Technical Assistant at the Cairo Depot of the same firm, and occupied that position from 1923 until his death, which took place in 1927 from diphtheria.

He was elected a Probationary Graduate of the Institution of Automobile Engineers in 1922.
