John Lang and Sons of Johnstone, nr Glasgow were machine tool manufacturers

  • 1873 Company founded.
  • 1894 Surfacing and boring Lathe. [1]
  • 1911: 12 inch Centre Lathe. [2]
  • 1916 Private company.
  • 1920 September. Exhibited at the Machine Tool and Engineering Exhibition at Olympia with a number of lathes with their well-known system of variable speed driving by means of expanding pulleys. [3]
