JOHN JAMES EATON-SHORE, eldest son of the late Mr. George Eaton-Shore, was killed in action in France on the 14th November, 1916.
Born on the 7th October, 1883, he served a pupilage to his father in the Borough Surveyor’s office, Crewe, and subsequently became his assistant.
In 1911 he was appointed a district engineer in British Guiana, and on the outbreak of war enlisted as a sapper in the Royal Naval Division, being promoted lieutenant on the field.
He was elected an Associate Member on the 6th December, 1910.
