1961 Founded by John Guest (d.2010)

1974 Developed his first push in tube connector for use with compressed air

1987 The Speedfit Plumbing and Heating System was launched

1989 Moved to a new purpose designed factory of around 61,000 sq feet

1990 Awarded the Queen’s Award for Export Achievement

1998 The company opened its factory in Maidenhead, specialising in the extrusion of pipe and tube.

2003 Expanded production capacity by opening a further moulding factory in Cornwall

2012 JG Speedfit launched Layflat Polybutylene barrier pipe

2014 Opening of a new purpose built warehouse in New Zealand

2016 Employs more than 1,100 persons. Family members Robert, Tim and Barry Guest still part of the company.
