Pupil of late Edmund Andrews, M.Inst.C.E., Chief Engineer, London and South Western Railway. 1885-91— Assistant to Resident Engineer on widening works, Surbiton to Woking; construction, Wimbledon and Fulham Line and Putney Junction Railways. 1891-9—General Assistant to Chief Engineer, London and South Western Railway. 1899-1904—Resident Engineer in charge of construction: Amesbury and Military Camp Light Railway, Salisbury Station reconstruction, main line widening, Micheldever to Winchester, main line widening, Grateley to Newton Toney Junction. 1904-8—Divisional Engineer, Somerset and Dorset Junction Railway. 1908-14—In charge of technical side of Chief Engineer's Office, London and South Western Railway, Waterloo Station, S.E. 1914-18—Divisional Engineer (London Division ), London and South Western Railway. Now Chief Assistant Engineer, London and South Western Railway.
