1922 M.Inst.C.E., Civil Engineer, Engineer's Office, London and South Western Railway, Waterloo Station, London, S.E.; b. 1868; s. of John Tyler, Superintendent of the Line, London and South Western Railway. Ed. St. Francis Xavier's College, Bruges, Belgium. Pupil of late Edmund Andrews, M.Inst.C.E., Chief Engineer, London and South Western Railway. 1885-91— Assistant to Resident Engineer on widening works, Surbiton to Woking; construction, Wimbledon and Fulham Line and Putney Junction Railways. 1891-9—General Assistant to Chief Engineer, London and South Western Railway. 1899-1904—Resident Engineer in charge of construction: Amesbury and Military Camp Light Railway, Salisbury Station reconstruction, main line widening, Micheldever to Winchester, main line widening, Grateley to Newton Toney Junction. 1904-8—Divisional Engineer, Somerset and Dorset Junction Railway. 1908-14—In charge of technical side of Chief Engineer's Office, London and South Western Railway, Waterloo Station, S.E. 1914-18—Divisional Engineer (London Division ), London and South Western Railway. Now Chief Assistant Engineer, London and South Western Railway.
