1899 Secretary to the Irish Motor Car Club.[1]

1904 'COLOHAN, Dr. John F. Sydney, Woodville, Blackrock, Dublin. Cars: Daimler, Napier. Hobbies: Shooting, photography. Was the pioneer of motoring in Ireland. Several of his inventions are in use on well-known French and English cars. Is a partner in the well-known Dublin firm of Hutton and Co., motor engineers. Clubs: Irish Automobile, A.C.G.B. & I.' [2]
