John Blaylock of John Blaylock and Co and Blaylock and Pratchitt.

1836 Advertising as John Blaylock, clock and watch maker, jeweller, etc., having removed to 53 Scotch street, Carlisle,[1]

1857 Advert: 'JOHN BLAYLOCK AND CO., LONG ISLAND FOUNDRY, BEG to intimate to Proprietors of Steam Engines, that, having recently fitted suitable Machinery, they are prepared to undertake the Boring Out of Cylinders and Fitting in new Pistons without removing them from their Seats.
In all ordinary cases two days will be quite sufficient for completing the above and setting the Engine to work again.
Reference is kindly permitted to Messrs. Lowthian, Parker, and Co, Carlisle.
Two excellent BOILERS for SALE. 18 feet long, three feet diameter, with Steam Domes and Mountings complete.'[2]
