John Bell (1841-1911) Chairman of the Metropolitan Railway

1863 Married at Manchester to Eliza Lowe.

1871 First connected with the Metropolitan Railway.[1]

1871 Living at Orfold Road, Ealing: John Bell (age 40 born Liverpool), Railway Manager (Major 5th Middlesex R.Y.). With his wife Eliza and one daughter and one son.[2]

1891 Living at Eaton Rise, Ealing: John Bell (age 50 born Liverpool), Railway Manager. With his wife Eliza Bell (age 54 born Manchester) and two daughters and one son.[3]

1894 Appointed chairman and managing director of the Metropolitan Railway

1900 John Bell of 57 Eaton Rise, Ealing. Chairman and MD of the Metropolitan Railway.

1902 Having retired from the company he went on a voyage to Australia in order to improve his health[4]

1911 February. Died.[5]
