1907 Married in Sheffield to Annie Maria Allcock

1911 Living at 41 Harvest Road, Englefield Green, Surrey: John Averies (age 30 born Bristol), Motor and Cycle Engineer (Dealer) - Employer. With his wife Annie Maria Averies (age 39 born Staveley), Head Teacher. One servant.[1]

1911 December. Designed the La Ponette cars which is built in France.[2] See Averies-Ponette.
