1914 Timber importers, creosoters, slate merchants, slating contractors and box, case and wood wool manufacturers. Specialities: wood block floorings, mouldings, creosoting, fencings etc. The principals of the firm were: George Jewson, J.P., John William Jewson, Richard Jewson, William Henry Jewson, Percy William Jewson[1]

1937 Timber importers, box and case manufacturers. [2]

1986 Acquired by Meyer International. The Jewson name was adopted for the chain of builders merchants that Meyer established.

2000 Meyer was acquired by Saint-Gobain of France, becoming part of that company's growing building materials distribution activities[3]
