A well-known Leicester cycle manufacturer passed away yesterday in the person Mr. James Parr, head of the firm of Parr and Co.

The deceased who was 47 years age, enjoyed the reputation of being the first maker of (bicycles) in Leicester, and in his younger days he was well known on the racing path, winning amateur championship of the Midlands. Subsequently he built a successful business, always keeping pace with the rapid progress of improvements in the trade.
