James Matthews (1852-1910), commercial manager of R. and W. Hawthorn, Leslie and Co. Previously with the Avonside Engine Co

1879 Patented a tram engine design. Possibly built by Fox, Walker and Co of Bristol or Kingsbury Ironworks, Ball's pond, London in 1879-81.[1]
