1831 April 21st. Married in Leeds to Charlotte Maude. Jacob is a machine maker.

1871 Living at 1 Charlotte Street, Hunslet: Jacob Dockray (age 61 born Holbeck), Town Counsellor, Poor Law Guardian, Machinist employing 24 men and 2 boys. With his wife Charlotte Dockray (age 58 born Hunslet) and their grand-daughter Charlotte M. Dockray (age 7 born Hunslet). One servant.[1]
