J. B. and J. Ronchetti
Charles Joshua Ronchetti sold optical and mathematical instruments. His sons, John Baptist and Joshua, succeeded to the scientific instrument business.
1837 Partnership dissolved. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, Joshua Ronchetti and John Baptist Ronchetti, as Hydrometer and Thermometer Makers, at No. 2, Hatton-ganden, in the county of Middlesex, was this day dissolved by mutual consent....'[1]
1849 Partnership dissolved. '... the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, John Baptist Ronchetti and Charles Joshua Ronchetti, junior, carrying on business in Market-street, in Manchester, in the county of Lancaster, as Opticians, under the firm of J. B. and J. Ronchetti, was this day dissolved by mutual consent. —Dated this 20th day of April 1849. John Baptist Ronchetti. Charles Joshua Ronchetti, junr.'[2]
1851 Joseph Casartelli purchased the instrument making business run by his wife's family (J. B. and J. Ronchetti) at 43 Market Street, Manchester.
