1914 Specialities: "White Label" Sauces; Indian Cuthnees and Curry Powder; Fancy Groceries, Comestibles, and Oilmen's Stores

1927 James Allen Sharwood retired.

1947 Granted the Royal Warrant as ‘Manufacturers of Chutney & Purveyors of Indian Curry Powders.

1962 Acquired by Cerebos.[1]

1966 Closure of Sittingbourne factory; work transferred to another Cerebos plant in Co. Durham[2]

1968 Became part of Ranks Hovis McDougall.

1989 Distribution centre opened to keep up with the demand for restaurant-style products to create Asian eating experiences at home.

1994 Granted the Royal Warrant as 'Manufacturers of Oriental Sauces'.

2006 Sharwood’s launched a new range of Chinese, Thai and Indian chilled sauces.

2007 Sharwood's launched a new range of easy-to-use Thai food.

2007 Acquired by Premier Foods along with the rest of RHM.
