Early 1960s, Odhams Press was acquired by the Mirror Group Newspapers, along with the George Newnes Co and Amalgamated Press; the three companies were merged to form International Publishing Corporation (IPC).

1963 Rank sold its holding in British Relay Wireless and Television, which it had acquired with Murphy, to International Publishing Corporation[1].

1970 Acquired by Reed Group. IPC already had a substantial holding in Reed shares. Reed supplied nearly half of IPC's newsprint[2]. The combined company changed its name to Reed International[3]
