Institution of Fuel Economy Engineers
1925 Registered as a company limited by guarantee, with 250 members, each liable for 5s. in the event of winding up.
The objectives were: - " To promote the science and practice of fuel economy engineering in all its branches, to give encouragement to the use of inventions and an impulse to methods likely to be useful to the members of the company and to the community, to enable engineers and others interested in the preparation, use and combustion of fuel to meet and correspond to facilitate the interchange of ideas respecting improvements in the various branches of fuel technology - particularly in regard to the economical preparation and combustion of fuel for industrial purposes- and the publication and communication of information on such matters and to promote and establish a subsidiary association to be called the Institution of Fuel Economy Engineers.
1926 Formerly established.[1]. The first president was Sir Alfred Moritz Mond.[2]
1927 - May. Merged with the Institution of Fuel Technology to form Institute of Fuel.[3]
