HORATIO WILLIAM LASH had a long connection with [[Thomas W. Ward|Messrs. Thos. W. Ward, Ltd.]], of which firm he was a director. He was born in 1860 and served his apprenticeship for five years in the Rochester works of [[Aveling and Porter|Messrs. Aveling and Porter]], and obtained his technical education at the Science Schools, Rochester, where he studied with great distinction. After further studies in advanced mathematics and draughtsmanship he went to the United States, and was employed for a year in the electrical department of the [[Morgan Engineering Co|Morgan Engineering Works]], at Alliance, Ohio. | |||

HORATIO WILLIAM LASH had a long connection with Messrs. Thos. W. Ward, Ltd., of which firm he was a director.
